Oxford Innovation and Leadership Exchange
Look not just to new ways to solving problems but new problems to solve.

The Innovation and Leadership Exchange aims to bring together young thinkers to collaboratively think about and discuss how innovation and design thinking can be applied to tackle social issues and benefit society.

While exploring what it means ethically, globally and locally to be a public leader in the 21st century. Interrogating key issues of local and global importance through the different dimensions of social, technological, and cultural innovation.

This exchange brings together exceptional students from across the globe from different disciplines who have a heart for service and the courage to act on issues for society as a whole rather than the private individual. Fostering the interdisciplinary exchanges that look into the future paired with the strengthening of multidimensional leadership skills.

Design Thinking

Design Thinking is about challenging past notions of what’s possible and applying that lens to our own practice, which forces us to look beyond self-imposed limits. It is an exploration process that makes discoveries along the way.

Leadership is the art of motivating a group of people to act towards achieving a common goal. It requires a leader to create an inspiring vision of the future, motivate and inspire people to engage with that vision, and manage delivery of the vision.

Social Innovation

Social Innovation is defined as a novel solution to a social problem that is more effective, efficient, sustainable, or just than existing solutions and for which the value created accrues primarily to society as whole rather than private individuals.
